Major updates


During this week we made several improvements, which can be generalised by the following steps:

  • Movement
  • Merged level_design brach with movement branch
  • Timer and main screen

Regarding movement, we implemented a random movement algorithm on the dog's and teacher's script, which makes them walk completely randomly across the whole game.

By merging the two branches mentioned above, we created a prototype with a different design,  were we have a security guard that detects the player when inside a cone of red light, and the main character can morph into a pot. When morphed and standing still, the player avoids detection even when inside the red cone.

The last topic is pretty straight-forward. We added a purple main screen with a big play button which, when pressed, starts the main game and a timer to count the amount of seconds that the player requires to complete the level.
